YOUR WEBSITE CONTENT
I will need a list of pages you want (i.e, About, Contact Us, Donate, etc.) and the content for each page before I start the project. You will need to provide the text for all pages OR if you need assistance, please inform me which pages you need support with. You will be receiving a Google Drive invitation from us with labels where content will go and you can access it here. You can upload any photos to the ‘photos’ folder if there are specific photos you want on the website.
If you want to select your own images for your website, you can find free and stunning stock photos on Unsplash or Pexel. If you’re using Squarespace, Unsplash is their partner. They are built right into the platform, so you won’t need to download and save images! All you have to do is upload links to images you’d like to use under each page on your Google Doc. Feel free to reach out with any questions.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
You’re booked in my schedule— woohoo! From this moment forth, we will stop using email to communicate and will begin using Asana. Asana is a secure project management tool where we will have conversations, share files, set reminders, and create to-do lists. This is the simplest way to keep your project organized and make sure it goes as smoothly as possible! This way we eliminate long email threads and the threat of files getting lost.
Don’t worry – you won’t need to pay for this tool and it’s not hard to use.
FEEDBACK GUIDELINES
I really appreciate simple and straightforward feedback. It helps me understand your thoughts and to ensure I make the right changes to your website.
Here are a few tips on providing awesome feedback:
Try and use bullet points to break up your thoughts.
Use headers to organize your thoughts.
Read over your feedback to make sure it’s clear and check that you’ve answered any questions I may have asked.
Post your feedback as a comment in Asana instead of emailing us directly.
If you have team members that would like to add their feedback, we kindly ask that you gather the feedback into one message.
PAYMENT POLICY
A non-refundable deposit is due to book your spot.
The final balance is due when the project is complete but before I give you control over the account.
As outlined in my contract, if your first payment is late, I can put your project on hold.
Your final payment is due 14 days upon receipt. If payment has not been made by the 14th day, a 5% interest will be added every 7 days until your payment has been completed, starting on the 15th day.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Will you show me how to update the site myself?
Absolutely! At the end of your project, I offer a complimentary comprehensive video tutorial to help you learn how to manage and update your own website.
Will you send me the fonts you used?
Yes! I typically use fonts that are free for accessibility. If you find a font that requires purchasing, we will discuss those logistics in our meeting.
